    Activities

It is our belief that life goes on after moving into residential nursing care. Beringin Park has many years of     experience in caring for the elderly and is proud of the reputation it has gained. We are fully committed to         maintaining our aims as follows :

Respect for the individual wishes of all our residents in maintaining a dignified and independent life style.

To promote leisure and social activities of all kinds, in which residents may participate if they choose.

To provide matrons and staff who are trained to provide the highest possible standard of 24 hour care.

To ensure that the Home, its surroundings and furnishings provide an unsurpassed setting, allowing             residents to enjoy a higher quality of life.

As physical activities become more restricted, enjoyment of life is more dependent upon comfort,                     congenial company and good care. Realising the time has come to move into residential care, for                     whatever reason that may be, is probably one of the most difficult decisions to make.

But life doesn't have to stop the minute you cross the threshold of your chosen care home. It will be the         beginning of life, the making of new friends, to socialise and enjoy each other's company, maybe a trip out     on the homes minibus, a varied and interesting activity programme for those who wish to join in or peace     and relaxation for those who choose it.

In good quality nursing and residential homes comfort and enjoyment are given special emphasis with         residents physical and emotional wellbeing paramount to every activity of daily living.leaf

Nursing and care staff, who are sensitive to the dignity and safety of             residents. Always on hand in those times of needs to ensure residents     benefit from the best support care available.

Residents will be encouraged to preserve independence and will be         offered the opportunity of steering the direction and details of their own         lives. Their views and those of their relatives or guardians will be actively     sought to ensure continuity of high levels of care and service.

Good food is important to most people. Choice of menus, special and dietary needs will be catered for. As     a home from home, residents will be encouraged to entertain their own guests and invite them to join             them for lunch or an evening meal.

Quality of life may change but is just as important in later years.
